Savannah is similar to Charleston in that it is a charming southern city. Savannah is has more of a downtown waterfront feel to it than does Charleston and it is a little less gentile than Charleston. The book, “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” gives a good depiction of Savannah. Savannah’s downtown area, which includes the Savannah Historic District, the Savannah Victorian Historic District and 21 park like squares, is one of the largest National Historic Landmark Districts in the United States. The city’s location offers visitors access to the coastal islands and the Savannah Riverfront, both popular tourist destinations. Tybee Island, formerly known as “Savannah Beach”, is the site of the Tybee Island Light Station, the first lighthouse on the southern Atlantic coast. Other picturesque towns adjacent to Savannah include the shrimping village of Thunderbolt and two residential areas that began as summer resort communities for Savannahians: Beaulieu and Vernonburg.

No way, i was born in Charleston and ive been to savannah(BORING). besides, you cant beat the battery in downtown Charleston. The only downside to Charleston is the traffic, i was just there today and i was glad to get back home!
