Charleston is one of the most beautiful places on Earth! I suggest moving to Rainbow Row! Here are a few more things to do during your next visits:

Your last line not-withstanding
… We have a lot of you types moving here. The area you’re referring to will probably run you around a million for anything of decent size. But remember there are very strict codes if you want to change or renovate anything. Downtown floods in many places during a h rd rain. If you don’t mind heat and humidity!!!! then ok. To be un “PC” , I have Northern friends who are surprised at the number of African-Americans here (about 50%) in the metro area. Just a statement, covering demographics since many have the impression we’re all white lacking diversity.
Generally we are more polite but don’t expect that from everyone and get burned.
