Magiquest- Myrtle Beach

The Myrtle Beach Magiquest was opened on June 4th 2005 at Broadway, Myrtle Beach. This interactive entertainment venue is a joint venture between Burroughs & Chapin Co., Inc. of Myrtle Beach S.C. and Creative Kingdoms, LLC, of Rhode Island. It consists of live action adventure game in a fantasy world of imagination and interactive play. The players use the magic wands that contain motion sensors and an infrared light-emitting diode. The players activate the magic wand by waving and pointing it at an object. The goal is to accumulate powers and proceed to higher levels of the games.
The game objects consists of statues, ceiling tiles, animatronic chests, pictures, projection rooms and video kiosks. Most of the objects have lights and audio that turn off automatically after activation. The video kiosks and projection rooms contain touch screen video displays to interact with the system. The players not wishing to use magic wands can purchase a magical key or compass. Before starting the games, the guests receive instructions on using the quests or adventures. An instruction booklet is also supplied with the magic wand but for certain quests no booklet is supplied. A player in the Magiquest is called Magi.
Magiquest Games:
Inside the large two level room, there is a big tree house on one side, a castle structure on the other side and pathways to dark dungeons and crypts. Just near the entrance there is a Stonehenge looking structure where you will go first and frequently return to select your quests. Some quests are very simple while some others are long and complex.
Magiquest Characters:
The Quest Master: The wise and powerful Quest Master is the wizard who rules the Kingdom of Magiquest.The Quest Master provides the players the important clues to complete many quests and adventures.
Princess Candice: The Princess Candice is granddaughter of the Quest Master who knows all the secrets of the Kingdom of Magiquest.She makes healing stars in the night sky with her beautiful voice and powerful magic.
Princess Amora: She is the younger daughter of the Quest Master. She has the ability to summon creatures from the stars in the sky.
Bartholomew: He is the official record keeper and cartographer of the Feudal Realm. One of the educators at the Magi Academy.
Carren: She was an orphan in the untamed Panchaean Desert but was raised by the Bosha – a carnival-like group of Magi related to the Shadow Clan.
Gwendolyn: Gwendolyn is the Director of the Magi Academy and a member of the Magi Council. One of the premier Duelists staying in the Feudal Realm bested only by the Quest Master and Xavier.
If you complete all quests in the first volume of the Ancient Book of Wisdom you will be known as the Master Magi. Many quests can be successfully completed only through team work along with family members or friends. The Magiquest provides the participants hands on experience on logical thinking and creativity.
Kings Mountain State Park, South Carolina

The Kings Mountain State Park is a 6,885 acres state park located in the piedmont region of South Carolina. This favorite park was largely developed by Civilian Conservation Corps of America. The park includes miles of hiking trails, campgrounds, fishing lakes, equestrian facilities.mini golf courses and Living History Farm. The farm includes gardens and animals, barn and gin, blacksmith and carpenter shop and a house.
Self guided tours to the farm are available on weekends during April, May, September, and October and from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The campsites in the state park are provided with tent sites, electricity and water. Sixteen miles of hiking trails are available in the Kings Mountain Park. Fishing and boating are possible in the two lakes of the park.
The campsites Cherokee and York include rustic cabins, mess house, bathhouse and therefore ideal for large groups. The park is next to the Kings Mountain National Military Park which was a site of revolutionary war battle.
The park is open to public from Monday to Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm.There is no entry fee for children below 15 years. Pets are allowed in most of the areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash below 6 feet.

The Annual Loris Bog off Festival:
The 2011 Loris Bog off Festival in South Carolina will be held on October 15th 2011.Over 200 arts and crafts vendors are scheduled for this festival. There will be a free concert by Steel Magnolia and a chicken bog cooking contest is also arranged during the festival.
Alive After5 in the Celebrity Square:
Alive After5 is a free concert series held in Celebrity Square, Broadway. Every Thursday, different local bands are performed on the main stage. A part of the proceeds from beverage sales will be donated to the Myrtle Beach Performing Arts Center. The Alive After will start from September 22, 2011.
The Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival-2011:On September 23rd the Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival will be held at Huntington State Park. Art works of more than hundred artists will be on display at Murrells Inlet. The park is located on the south end of the Grand Strand.
The St. John’s Greek Festival-2011:
The St. John’s Greek Festival-2011 will be held on Sep-22 to Sep-24.The venue of this festival is the St. John The Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A large number of people come out to eat the Greek foods such as home made pastries, spanikopita, Greek Salad and many more. Live Greek music and dance entertain the crowd on all days.
The Irish Italian International Festival:
This festival will be held September24th 2011 at Main Street, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The one day festival will feature live entertainment, great food, music, dance, arts and crafts to celebrate the culture of Irish Italian community.

Nagatos is an excellent cook at your table Steak House. If you have never been to a resturaunt where the food is cooked in front of you, now is the time to try it. They usually oopen at 4pm, which starts an early bird special. Your family will enjoy the entertaining cooks, along with the outstanding food. You will not regret this dinner and entertainment choice.
8.Hard Rock Cafe and Broadway at the Beach

Hard Rock Cafe is shaped like a pyramid. Lots of stuff to see, although the music is a little loud. The food is okay, but the decorations are a must see. This is located at Broadway at the Beach, which is a huge shopping complex/imax theater/ Ripleys aquarium( this is good too, but pricey)/ adventure golf.
If you go to myrtle beach, gotta see it. It is really one of the most spectacular Hard Rock Cafe’s in the world.

2. Go to historic charleton for the day
It is about 1.5 hours south of myrtle beach. You park in Historic Charleston and choose a tour. These tours cost about $12 per person, but they are airconditioned, guided and allow some drop-off time to explore the city on foot. The narrated tours are excellent and worth the drive. You can also tour a battleship which is close by and well worth it, if you have never been to charleston. This will take up the entire day so plan ahead. Do not miss Charleton if you go to myrtle beach.
