Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Question?

We are planning a beach vacation and have always went to the Gulf in the past. We were looking at other possibilities and Myrtle Beach is the front runner.

The question I have is:
Is Myrtle Beach a good family vacation destination? Dates would be April 10-17. Is Spring Break a big deal there? We want to avoid that. Is there a certain area of Myrtle Beach we should aim for? Heard there is a North, Central, and South part to it. What’s the difference? What is something that as a family we got to do if we go? Anything unique?

If you can answer any one of these questions that is great. Thanks.

Myrtle Beach is a great place to visit,I’ve been their myself. They have excellent restaurants and they have a boardwalk too.My only suggestion is that you be careful in the ocean,as they do have a lot of sharks there. We did a lot of body surfing which was really a blast! As far as spring break is concerned,I can’t say for sure if that will be going on there. You’ll enjoy it and I’m sure you’ll find lot’s of things to do .Hope this helps.

Spring break is offically over April 9th this year. I like North Myrtle best . Make sure you go to Barefoot Landing (nice places to eat, shop and sightsee) It might be a bit cold at that time to swim in the ocean
