Myrtle Beach Bike Week- 2012
The Myrtle Beach Bike Week, the 60 mile coastline motor cycle riding is an annual event that takes place on the second week of May every year. This year too, the Myrtle Beach Bike Week spring rally will be held on May 11th to May 20th at Grand Strand, SC.About 300,000 bikers will attend this event to enjoy the great coastline bike riding.
The Bike week is one of the most important motor cycle rallies in South Carolina. All leading bikes like Harley Davidson, Choppers, Kawasaki, and Suzuki will be on road during the bike week. All motor cycle accessories and parts are sold at Inlet Square Mall in Murrelles Inlet.
According to the South Carolina state law, riders and passengers under the age of 21 must have helmets while driving motor cycles. The Myrtle Beach administration has issued strict guidelines for bike riders. Though the helmet law passed by the Myrtle Beach has overturned by the Supreme Court of South Carolina, the noise ordinance, speed restrictions and seat belt laws are still in force in Myrtle Beach. In the past several years frequent complaints from local peoples against noise, traffic and bad behavior of some bike riders have caused the shifting of the event from Myrtle Beach to the surrounding areas.
