The beaches of southeastern North Carolina are a very nice, quite place to vacation with plenty to do with the kids to the north (Wilmington, NC) and south (Myrtle Beach, SC).

The Outer Banks in NC are beautiful. I live near there and get to the beach whenever I can. However, it can be pricey in the summer, and besides the beach, there is not much else to do.

Bethany Beach is a great place to vacation with children or without children. you are 5 minutes from ocean city with the boardwalk and shops. but the beaches are beautiful and clean

Places in Tennessee would be Chattanooga,Tn. or Dolly wood out side of Knoxville,Tn. or go father south to Montezuma,Ga. and visit one of the best Mennonite restaurants and some other Mennonite historical places or go into town & visit histoical places there

It all depends on your definition of a “vacation.”
