How to travel cheap and in style by staying at Hostels

One of the biggest costs when you travel anywhere in the world – especially to tourist destinations like South Carolina beaches or New York City – is the cost of accommodation. If the place your travelling to is full of activities that you want to do – you will hardly be spending time in your hotel. So do really you need to pay $150 a night for a decent sized room that you will probably just come to sleep in?

The answer is – probably not!!

One of the best ways to significantly reduce your costs of trips is to stay in a hostel. If you are new to staying in hostels you will being to wonder as to what you should expect and be prepared for.

To be honest, hostels have some disadvantages but much more advantages.

To start with, it is cheaper – much much cheaper!! Then you have other advantages – it’s a nice way to meet other travellers, you will hardly spend time so having a large set of amneties hardly matter, you will experience the ways of a true traveler.

So when you are planning to go for your next vacation, take a look at the local travel hostels in that area, you might just find what you are looking for.

Kings Mountain State Park, South Carolina

The Kings Mountain State Park is a 6,885 acres state park located in the piedmont region of South Carolina. This favorite park was largely developed by Civilian Conservation Corps of America. The park includes miles of hiking trails, campgrounds, fishing lakes, equestrian facilities.mini golf courses and Living History Farm. The farm includes gardens and animals, barn and gin, blacksmith and carpenter shop and a house.

Self guided tours to the farm are available on weekends during April, May, September, and October and from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The campsites in the state park are provided with tent sites, electricity and water. Sixteen miles of hiking trails are available in the Kings Mountain Park. Fishing and boating are possible in the two lakes of the park.

The campsites Cherokee and York include rustic cabins, mess house, bathhouse and therefore ideal for large groups. The park is next to the Kings Mountain National Military Park which was a site of revolutionary war battle.

The park is open to public from Monday to Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm.There is no entry fee for children below 15 years. Pets are allowed in most of the areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash below 6 feet.

The rooms have either a king size or double bed with a Martha occasional chair, executive desk, chair and armoire. The bathrooms have botticini marble and brass fittings. Parlor Suite:
The Parlor Suite comprises a king size room on one side and anther double bedded guest room on the other side. The living room has a dining table with eight seats.
